About EasyUke — The Story Behind the Method

EasyUke

One day on a beach.
Everything changed.

The story of EasyUke doesn't start in a music school or a family of musicians. It starts on a beach.

I wasn't a musician

I didn't grow up in a musical family. No one played an instrument at home. No piano in the living room, no guitar on the wall. Music was something other people did — not me.

For years, I believed that was just how it was. That I'd missed the window. That music was a matter of talent, of early starts, of the right upbringing — and I had none of the three.

Then one day, on a beach, someone was playing ukulele. I watched. I tried. And within a few hours, I was playing my first songs.

I had never played music in my life. In a few hours on that beach, something unlocked. The ukulele never left me after that.

From that day, the ukulele never left me. I went deeper into the instrument, into pedagogy, into what actually makes someone learn fast and stay motivated. And gradually, teaching became a genuine passion — maybe as much as playing.

Why I built EasyUke

Because I lived exactly what my students experience before they start. The doubt. The conviction that "this isn't for me." The fear of spending money on something you'll abandon.

And because I know what happens on the other side — when you have the right instrument, the right method, and you play your first songs. That moment changes something. It proves one simple, powerful thing: music isn't reserved for the gifted. It's reserved for those with the right method.

That's what I built. A method designed for adults starting from zero — no music theory, no prior experience, no teacher to find. A soprano ukulele selected specifically for beginners, delivered to your door. Structured video lessons in the right order, rewatchable as many times as you need, whenever suits you.

Not just online

The numbers above come from the online course — but my teaching doesn't stop at a screen. Every summer, I run in-person ukulele sessions on the shores of Lac d'Aiguebelette in the French Alps. Small groups, open air, ukuleles in hand. Session after session, the same thing happens: complete beginners — people who arrived convinced they couldn't do it — play their first song before the morning is over.

It's where the conviction behind EasyUke gets confirmed, every year, in real time.
